I’m Roeland van Duifhuizen, one of the Regional Sales Manager at Huboo. Huboo was founded in 2017 by Martin Bysh and Paul Dodd in the UK city of Bath, but has since expanded across Europe, with warehouses in The Netherlands, Madrid and more to come soon.

Huboo is a third-party logistics company, providing a range of flexible storage and distribution services to our customers. When an eCommerce seller signs up to Huboo, they send their stock to us and we store, pick, pack and deliver it to their customers all over the world. Huboo helps brands grow by taking care of all their eCommerce order fulfilment needs - streamlining operations and taking the legwork out of eCommerce for our customers. This means business owners have more time to focus on doing what they love – growing their business!

Huboo is the fastest-growing UK-headquartered eCommerce fulfilment technology provider, enabling businesses of all sizes to access a complete end-to-end fulfilment operation within minutes. Huboo offers efficiency, low cost, scalability, and order fulfilment precision. Our unique micro-Hub Model enables us to offer eCommerce brands all these advantages. Each Hub is managed by a Hub Manager, and customers have direct contact with this Hub Manager – which is a unique offering and means they act on behalf of the client, as an extension of their brand.

What's your motto?

Our values are integrity, focus, ambition and solidarity. These are intrinsic to workplace behaviours and our company culture, and we look to celebrate the work and attitude of individuals across the business through marketing campaigns and monthly Town Hall meetings. We’re a tech-first company but are also intrinsically humancentric, using best-in-class technologies and talented people to power our unique ‘Hub’ model which has disrupted the fulfilment industry.

Why did you become a business partner of

We made the decision to become a business partner of largely due to the networking opportunities that it will provide, and of course due to its strong reputation in The Netherland’s eCommerce market. We felt that a partnership would enable us to strengthen our knowledge base and long-term position as the fulfilment provider of choice in Europe.

Moreover, their commitment to making online shopping more sustainable is something we wholeheartedly support and believe our values align with. Not only is it reflective of our own principles but has links to our long-term strategy too. Huboo offers many eco-friendly options for our customers, such as sustainable packaging and fleets of electric courier vehicles, so that our clients have the freedom of choosing more sustainable fulfilment options to support their business.

As we grow internationally, we’re committed to ensuring that we have the resources in place to thrive in regional markets, and we felt that would provide us with a steady foundation for achieving our goals in The Netherlands.

What is your biggest challenge at the moment? And how do you tackle this challenge?

I’d say our biggest challenge now is continuing to provide reliable, fast shipping to countries all over the world, despite the ongoing political situation in the Ukraine and elsewhere. Moreover, the Brexit hangover and its effects on trade policy means that we are constantly reviewing our carrier options, as well as identifying new partnership opportunities that can help simplify international shipping for our customers.

Our ever-expanding partnership network means our customers have access to a range of services that can help streamline operations and optimise performance. By constantly reviewing legal policies, political change, and updates from our carrier network, we keep our customers informed about relevant changes, through our easy-to-use dashboard, website pages and strategically timed email updates. We’re committed to providing personalised experiences for our customers, so that their products are picked, packed and delivered exactly how they’d like them to be.
