There are thousands upon thousands of e-retailers and more are added every week. We wouldn’t be surprised if you could no longer see the forest for the trees. Where can and can’t you shop safely, what should you look out for when shopping online and is online shopping sustainable? We’re Shopping Secure and we’ll help you make the best online choices.
You’re probably familiar with the Thuiswinkel Waarborg and Shopping Secure logos: the red and green house that is already displayed on more than 2,000 Dutch e-commerce websites. Clicking on our logo will take you to a unique certificate, which shows you’re dealing with a reliable retailer and can be confident in your online purchase. Want to be 100% sure? Check our member list!
E-retailers are only allowed to display our logo if they have successfully passed our certification process. This requires them to undergo a three-step process:
As you can see, we take our role very seriously, so when you make an online purchase from one of our members, you can be sure that everything has been taken care of. If you still have a complaint, please let us know and we’ll handle it with the e-retailer in question.
You’ve probably seen them, throngs of delivery drivers passing through your street and dropping off packages, and you might be concerned that online shopping isn’t all that sustainable. Fortunately, there’s no reason to worry: online shopping is one of the most sustainable ways to buy new products there is, because delivery vans are always filled as efficiently as possible. To find out more, have a look around our website and we’ll show you ways to make online shopping even more sustainable.
Want to know what other customers have to say about an e-retailer? Check out the Thuiswinkel Waarborg and Shopping Secure reviews. These reviews are independent and were written by real customers.
As an online buyer, you have rights, such as the right to a 14-day cooling-off period before deciding to keep your new purchase. Let us tell you more about your rights when shopping online.
You might also have seen us in the media.
