Advantages membership

All businesses that realise (part) of their turnover by distance selling can apply for membership of Thuiswinkel.org. At the moment Thuiswinkel.org represents the interests of more than 1300 members.

Thuiswinkel Trustmark

Members of Thuiswinkel.org are allowed to make use of the Thuiswinkel Trustmark. Thuiswinkel.org lobbies for the interests that concern the members, by influencing (new) legislation and hosting talks with various market influencers. Thuiswinkel.org has taken part in the creation of iDEAL and is currently working together with various banks in order to create a newmobile payment method for webshops.

Thuiswinkel.org includes nine active working groups in which members can take part.

Lobby

Advocacy on all fronts by Thuiswinkel.org. Thuiswinkel.org represents the interests of its members for example, by influencing (new) legislation and regulation and by talking to players. Thuiswinkel.org helped establish iDEAL and is now working with banks on new online mobile payment products that are useful for webshops. There are nine active working groups where members can participate.

Members of Thuiswinkel.org receive various free studies:

  • Discount on 10 branche reports Thuiswinkel Market Monitor. Starting at € 950.- instead of € 1,750.- per report.

Knowledge and information exchange through various events and workshops. memebers are allowed to participate in the Thuiswinkel.org active working groups. Members also receive a free subsciption to Twinkle magazine.

Working Groups and Committees

Thuiswinkel.org contains nine working groups and two commissions. They can be created or disbanded when members or the secretariat initiate the proper procedure, after which the board has the right to approve of reject the suggestion. Employees of union members with expertise in relevant areas are allowed to participate in the working groups or commissions.

Goals
The working groups prepare strategies and policies for the advocacy and represent Thuiswinkel.org in various political and societal situations. They also create the basis for the lobby and the issues that concern the Thuiswinkel.org members. The chairmen of the working groups and committees meet twice a year during the Chairman Consultation in order to efficiently streamline all lobby activities.
