Home-shopping doubled its share in the retail trade
The share that home-shopping has in the retail trade almost doubled during the past five years. Whilst the share home-shopping – including catalogues, post, etc. – had in the retail trade was only 4.59% in 2005, by 2009 it had risen to 8.47%.

It is important to note here that this much-used benchmark is inaccurate: the home-shopping turnover figures include the online sales of travel, insurance and tickets. The benchmark does provide an indication of the growing share that home-shopping has in the retail trade.
