Retail trade growth The growth in non-food turnover fell in 2009 by -8.0%
The turnover in the retail trade increased annually between 2006 and 2009 by more than 3%. However, in 2009 the growth in turnover fell by -4.1%. The drop is mainly down to negative growth in non-food: -8.0%. Expenditure on food did rise by 1.1% in 2009, although that percentage was lower than in previous years.
