Task
The (inter)national promotion of improved and (even) safer (new) electronic, user-friendly and efficient forms of payments and their implementation for the benefit of consumers.

Subjects

• Influencing (new) payment functions, tariffs, etc. 
• Influencing the Europeanization of payment systems (SEPA and e-SEPA) 
• Influencing (new) technical developments (mobile payment, electronic invoices, etc.)

Lobby issues

• Statutory entrenchment of 100% advance payment for products for web-shops and consumers
• Credit cards: introducing 3-D secure and getting issuing banks linked up to 3-D secure
• Influencing e-SEPA, online payments in Europe 
• Preventing dual-pricing practice
• Inter-bank standard for micro/mobile payment
• Inter-bank standard for new bank tokens
• Inter-bank standard for postponed payment

• Organising the annual Online Payments Congress (March) 
• Annual publication of a positioning paper (March) 
• Annual publication of descriptive research into the (use of) online payment transactions in the Netherlands (March) 
• Benchmarking the use and costs of payment transactions for the members of Thuiswinkel.org
