- Promoting new self-regulation in relevant fields in preference to new laws and legislation
- Reinforcing existing self-regulation
Lobby issues
- Evaluating the general home-shopping terms and conditions with the Consumers’ Association, as approved in the SER (Social and Economic Council) consultation in October 2008
- Reviewing e-mail marketing code
- Drawing up a new affiliate marketing code between advertisers and affiliate networks
Other goals and activities
- Carrying out research into online settlement of complaints (ODR)
- Contributing to development of the Thuiswinkel Waarborg certification
- Clustering and managing fraud cases within a single platform (Incident Register)
