Task
Preventing and combating fraud and improving the security of web-shops in the Netherlands.

Subject
Monitoring developments in the field of web-shop security.

Lobby issues
  • Realising an Incident Register for the members of Thuiswinkel.org 
  • Realising a central point for officially reporting internet fraud 
  • Developing a code of conduct on the security of web-shops 
  • Initiating research into credit card fraud

Other goals and activities
  • Keeping web-shops informed about improvements in the security of web-shops 
  • Preparing a ‘security of web-shops’ code of conduct that can eventually become integrated into the Thuiswinkel Waarborg (certification)
  • Clustering and managing fraud cases within a single platform (Incident Register)
